Yule Gathering

  • Ethos Yoga 113 South Saginaw Street Holly, MI, 48442 United States (map)

As the year is winding down and the nights grow longer, we're gathering at Ethos to slow down and spend an evening together.

Yule marks the winter solstice, the longest night of the year and the gradual return of the light. It's an opportunity to pause & reflect on what this year has held, and make a little room for whatever is waiting for us in the next.
We'll begin with a guided meditation and a simple ritual to mark the turning of the season, followed by a sharing circle and time to connect with one another. Light fare & snacks provided.
If you'd like to participate in a small gift exchange, bring something handmade by you or someone else. No need to spend much money or make anything elaborate.

Some ideas that cost little to nothing: -A beloved secondhand book with a note about why you love it.
-A cutting from a houseplant in a little jar of water.
-A handwritten letter to a stranger sharing something you've learned in life.
-A family recipe written on a recipe card, along with a little story behind it.

Some ideas for inexpensive homemade gifts:
-Freshly baked bread, cookies, or a pie.
-A homemade winter simmer pot kit.
-Something knitted, crocheted, or sewn.
-Herbal bath soaks.

The point isn't the gift itself, but the love and care behind it.

Just come as you are, settle in, and share a little space with your community as we welcome the return of the light.

Investment: $35
