Mother-Daughter Moon Circles will be for girls ages 9 and up and the mother in their life. This is a container for authenticity and vulnerability. When we allow ourselves to be vulnerable with one another our relationship will flourish. As daughters, it is important to understand that our mothers are not perfect, that we are truly growing up together and figuring out every day TOGETHER. In circle, we are all equal and will all have our chance to open up and be seen and heard. There will always be a lesson to help us connect with our bodies on a deeper level and gain a stronger appreciation for ourselves. We will also usher these girls into womanhood with celebration and ceremony. Menarche, a girl’s first blood, is a huge rite of passage and something that deserves to be acknowledged and celebrated with community. By doing this, we take away the shame and embarrassment of our blood and learn the divine power that it holds and the divine power we step into when this happens for the first time.
