Shamanic Journeying- The History and The Practice

  • Ethos Yoga 113 South Saginaw Street Holly, MI, 48442 United States (map)

Shamanism is a spiritual practice that involves exploring the unconscious mind through altered states of reality. Shamanism dates all the way back to the Paleolithic and is thought to have originated in Siberia. It is a belief system that is deeply rooted in the rhythms of nature and the existence of a collective consciousness. Shamanistic practices may be the earliest origins of animism.

Shamanic journeying is the practice of diving into our own subconscious for healing or clarity.

During this two-hour workshop, we will discuss the history of shamanism, origin stories, power animals, plant medicine, trance medicine, and modern-day shamanistic practices. Ending with a 20-minute journey, journaling, and discussion.
